Up for sale is a 14.5" or 37 cm high Galileo Glass & Liquid Fluid Expansion Thermometer. This is a used thermometer, never displayed, only opened for inspection and stored in it's original box. The explanations of how to use the thermometer are on the box in French and English. Named after the Italian physicist who first designed it, this surprisingly accurate thermometer works on the principle of buoyancy. Five glass spheres rise and fall inside the cylinder to indicate room temps from 64 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.A beautiful piece, finely crafted of mouth-blown glass with golden toned temperature medallions.
